Owner and Operator Tom Van Holt has published books on Alaska and Astronomy. He started Starving Artists Moving in Lawrence with friends that seriously pursued juggling, acting, the martial arts, music and more. (We've produced several books, shows, black-belts and bands.) While we don't actively recruit artists, we do tend to attract them and all of our staff have college background. You'll be pleased with the caliber of people this brings to your move.

Starving Artists Moving has given away over $80,000 to charities and other causes since 2005. Why? Because our owner was in the Tsunami in Thailand. His life and the lives of over 100 people that he was with were saved quite heroically by the Thai people. He has since pledged to help others as much as possible, being very active in Tsunami relief overseas, relief for New Orleans and Greensburg, KS. as well as regularly contributing to local needs.
